I haven't paid for any of my actions. Search through these sites for actions that will transform your pictures.Once you start it is hard to stop. It is so addicting.

I have done lots of reading and studying to learn photoshop. I can not say I am good at all at it, but I am learning. And while I learn I will share. I will try to be better at explaining what I do to edit my photos.

Also you can use google's picsa but you have to download it onto your computer and I didn't like it that much but I know others that really like it, so you can try that too.
